What do I start? What are all these links?
Does this sound familiar? I feel like everyone has a different process, and at times it feels like some kind of secret society-level indoctrination. Which means you start wondering… what exactly am I signing up for? Did I just sell part of my soul? Do I definitely owe someone a million dollars now? Is there a password involved?
Ok Well Let’s clear some of this Up
No souls are required for initial downpayment, I will not require cult membership, though I do love when people sign up for my mailing list!
And no tattoos are one million dollars. (Well mine aren’t)
Here’s the break Down
First off, tattoo inquiry or consultsion? That is the question…
Should you send in a tattoo inquiry or just book a consultation?
What is a Tattoo Inquiry?
Best for: Starting the conversation + sharing your idea
A tattoo inquiry is the first step when you’re interested in getting tattooed. This is where you tell me about your idea so I can see if we’re a good fit for the project.
Things to include in your inquiry (All this is part of the form):
✨ General tattoo idea or concept
📍 Preferred placement on the body
📏 Approximate size
🎨 Black & grey or color
📸 Reference images or inspiration
⏳ Preferred timeline or availability
This helps me get an understanding of your vision, style, and project details before moving forward.
What about a Tattoo Consultation?
Best for: Finalizing details in person before booking
A consultation happens after you’ve decided you’d like to move forward with the tattoo. This is an in-person meeting where we can really dial everything in together.
During a consultation we can:
🖊️ Discuss placement and sizing in person
📐 Map the tattoo to your body flow and anatomy
🎨 Talk through style, details, and design direction
🧠 Go over additional ideas or changes
❓Answer questions about the process, pricing, or healing
📅 Plan out tattoo sessions if needed
Consultations are especially helpful for:
- Larger pieces
- Custom designs
- Coverups
- Sleeve concepts
- Projects needing exact placement or collaboration
Think of the inquiry as the introduction… and the consultation as the planning session before the tattoo officially begins.
